Fernando Rossaggo, 27, of Greenstead, Essex, had shared two of the mini Scotch eggs she had bought from Tesco, in Colchester, with her housemate. But as she bit into a third egg, she saw a 4cm (1.5in) worm inside the outer layer of sausage meat of the product.
