I disagree with #4. A woman standing naked in front of me is definitely worth listening too.
Beginning by flirting is good. It gets him interacting with you and may trump other distractions. Cozying up to him by sitting gently in his lap,wrapping an arm around his shoulders, and starting with a whisper to his ear may bring him around.
